FAQS

See some of our frequently asked questions below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out to the team.

• Can I walk in?

  We will not be accepting walk-in's in either the Restaurant or Gardens during the event time (11am - 3.30pm).

  The restaurant will be open for dinner trade as normal, and the Gardens will be open for walk-in's post 3pm.

• Is parking available at the venue?

  Babylon does not have any onsite parking, however there are Secure and Wilson’s carparks located within minutes’ walk of the venue along Eagle Street. Babylon does not validate parking.

  Road closures affecting Brisbane City, Kangaroo Point, South Brisbane and Fortitude Valley areas are expected. We recommend planning your journey ahead of time.

• When is the race?

  The race will be shown at 2pm AEST.

• Will there be sweepstakes?

  Yes! We will be running sweepstakes in both the restaurant and bar. Sweeps are purchased with cash only, so we recommend bringing cash with you.

• Are children welcome to attend?

  No. Our Melbourne Cup events in both the Restaurant and Gardens are 18+ events only.

• Will I have a designated table?

  All Melbourne Cup bookings in the restaurant will be allocated a table, so please ensure you let us know which other ticket holders you would like to be seated with. 

  No tables will be reserved in Babylon Gardens, so be sure to arrive on time to snag a prime seat!
